Sounion (or Kavo Kolones or Kavokolones) is the name of the cape located at the southernmost tip of the Attica prefecture. Very close in distance to the capital Athens with only 76 km. Sounion is known because of its important geographical location but also because of the ruins of the ancient temple of Poseidon that are located there.
